QUIET BARRIER® MD Composite is a commercial grade composite of one pound mass loaded vinyl and one inch polyether foam designed to block / absorb sound in noise polluted environments. The vinyl is a flexible, high density material with a smooth surface created to reduce noise transmission and is resistant to most acids, mild alkalis and oils / grease. The foam acts as a decoupler and an absorber. As a decoupler, it limits vibration of the mass loaded vinyl. As an absorber, it captures noise radiating from structural or airborne sources. QUIET BARRIER® MD Composite is available with a pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA) for an easy ‘peel and stick’ application. STC 27 / NRC 0.50 View Wall Assemblies that allow you to Achieve Higher STC ratings.
QUIET BARRIER® MD Composite is effective in an environment where noise levels are problematic. This mid-grade barrier / absorber may be applied directly to drywall or attached to studs / joists prior to the administration of drywall. Stop noise transmission through doors by applying QUIET BARRIER® MD Composite to one side of the door. Practical applications may include generator enclosures, compressor rooms, air conditioning unit enclosures, etc. For greater sound reduction needs, see QUIET BARRIER® HD Composite. For noise polluted circumstances requiring mild buffering, see QUIET BARRIER® LD Composite. Compare with our QUIET BARRIER® HD Composite and our QUIET BARRIER® LD Composite |

| All Polyurethane Foams, including Combustion Modified Foams, will burn. Do not expose to any flame source. Once ignited, they can produce rapid flame spread, intense heat, dense smoke and toxic gases causing death. Warnings should be given to your employees and or customers. Test data does not necessarily reflect a foams performance under actual fire conditions. Before purchasing any foam, be sure to check with your local code officials to confirm the required flammability rating of exposed materials for your area. |
