A.) Attach 1 in. x 3 in. wood furring strips to the wall using 2 1/2 in. coarse drywall screws. Be sure to connect the furring strips to the studs within the wall assembly.

B.) Install QUIET BARRIER® HD Sound Blocking Material on the furring strips with 1 1/4 in. roofing nails. For ease of installation use a pneumatic roofing nail gun. Use our Acoustic Sealant to seal gaps and our vinyl Barrier Tape™ for seams.

C.) Install the isoTRAX™ system over the QUIET BARRIER® HD and horizontally across the furring strips.

D.) Install 5/8 in. Gypsum Board (Drywall) over the QUIET BARRIER® HD and to the furring strips with 1 1/4 in. drywall screws. Leave a 1/4 in. gap around the perimeter of the new wall. Use our Acoustic Sealant to fill the gap.
